UAE Partners With Italian Startup To Build AI Supercomputer Powerhouse

The UAE has teamed up with Italian AI startup iGenius to build Colosseum, a $1 billion AI supercomputer in southern Italy. This Nvidia-powered project, part of a broader $40 billion UAE-Italy investment deal, aims to boost Europe’s AI independence, research, and innovation. Slated for full operation by 2030, Colosseum will be the largest AI compute hub in Europe, offering green energy, cybersecurity, and digital sovereignty.
